Anthony grew up in Connecticut. After studying design and business, Anthony joined the family real-estate development business, which included the purchase of an historic, 51-room shoreline Inn. Purchase of the Inn proved a defining period for Anthony. He managed the on-site event planning and daily operations. This effort included interior renovations of all the guest suites, common areas and event spaces. In 1999, Anthony challenged himself again with his first retail store in Essex, Conn. Anthony was inspired by artisans in Mexico to venture into manufacturing. He started an import business and quickly expanded into a full collection of garden decor, called Venetucci Imports. In 2009, Anthony decided to concentrate on his Westbrook, Conn., retail store. It was transformed into Venetucci Home, a 12,000-square-foot destination retail experience. In 2012, he added a second boutique location in Newport, Rhode Island, where he relocated.

This current trend refers to the historic European interpretation of classical Asian design elements. The trend for scenic wallpapers has pushed this decorating theme into all categories of home furnishings design from fabric to wall art, lighting and more. The clear colorful over the top mix of luxe finishes and materials drive this look. Our version takes it a bit beyond the historical reference by seeing it through the lens of mid-century modern design. We might take an element with an Asian influence, such as the hardware on our Zhin cabinets, and use it sparingly on an otherwise very simple shape.
Modern Industrial can be inspired by mid-century design and built using industrial material and finishes or up cycled industrial materials that are interpreted into modern shapes and uses. For example, the 9968 Sibley Trio Pendant is a mid-century idea that is created using wire and recycled glass and the 9739 Frontier pendant is taking salvaged corrugated tin and making a cylinder shaded pendant from that material.

From varied mediums including vivid watercolors to abstract oil paintings and modern photography, an expert team of Austin-based curators, print-makers and framers source exclusive content and dynamic displays designed to elevate the experience of a room. Unique presentation materials including oak, maple, canvas, acrylic, and more bring a thoughtfully selected, museum-quality look to any wall and any style.
Eye-catching shapes and finishes define occasional pieces great for entertaining. Etched and basket-woven detailing add character to antiqued brass and pewter with touches of copper and gunmetal. Mirror, glass and marble call to mind art deco and old Hollywood glamour. These pieces mix as effortlessly as a cocktail, accenting spaces from the soft and feminine to the starkly modern.
Thoughtful details add character to counter, bar or table. Swivel seating is covered in cotton canvas, linen blends and rich leathers. Dark or weathered gray solid wood frames are characterized by slim tapers, soft splays and curved stretchers.
Distinctive material mixes transform mid-century styles into modern originals. Unique detailing lends high impact to quality leathers via slings, buckles and contrast stitching. Fashion-forward metals elevate designs, adding contemporary texture to laid-back cool looks without surrendering their underlying edge.
Toss in some texture, indoors or out. Beautifully bold poly-fill throw pillows, floor cushions and poufs bring a fun sense of elegance to modern décor.
Throw a new light on minimalist style. Modern, mid-century inspired fixtures are clean and understated. Made from solid brass and stainless steel with rich brass, pewter and oil-rubbed bronze finishes. Layered, coiled shaping creates repetition and movement. The shaped light and shadows they cast add depth and intrigue to any space.
Inspired by centuries of design from old world libraries, these pieces re-invent classic themes for timeless elegance. Top-grain, hand finished leathers feel worn, adding interest and age to modern frames. Unexpected materials push boundaries and redefine luxury, with strong attention to detail, complicated shapes and intricate patterns.
Since ancient Roman times, concrete has been a revered material for stunning architecture and design. Now, smooth concrete is layered over a honeycombed core for the strength, character and depth of traditional concrete at an effortless weight. Modern pieces mix in iron, stainless steel, lava stone and wood for industrial appeal with a sophisticated, urban edge.
Spark style in any room. Structural pendants, linear floor lamps and softly shaped chandeliers made from textural cane and sleek iron alike, featuring jet black, oil-rubbed bronze and antique brass finishes, netting a beautifully dramatic sense of contrast.
Modern machine shop and vintage industrial inspirations combine. Cast and hand-forged iron pieces intrigue with glass accents, industrial rivets, crank handles and intricate gears. Rough, unsanded iron is finished in black or antique nickel with scars and dents that capture the look of a true antique.
Thoughtfully mixed materials lend a fashion-forward feel to clean-lined case goods. Modern CNC carving enhances the natural character of smoked oak and mango woods, as fresh gunmetal finishes and grey lacquer place a progressive spin on time-honored design techniques.
Asymmetry creates a dynamic, modern aesthetic. Impulses from mid-century are reinvented with a mix of warm woods and hard iron. Character walnut and untouched oak reveal knots and natural beauty marks. Exposed dovetail joinery and rubbed iron finishes add another layer of interest and the appearance of age.
Bring the outdoors in with natural textures and modern lines. All-natural banana and abaca leaf weave creates dynamic contrast with modern and transitional framing, from smooth mahogany to slabs of primitive wood in natural finishes. Spare shapes and simple lines allow the beauty of warm-toned or sun-bleached finishes to shine through.
The glamour of old Hollywood is updated in accent and lighting pieces that create casual luxury. High concept designs leverage timeless, modern silhouettes and borrow slightly industrial inspirations. Made with antique iron, aged mirror and faceted glass, each design offers a range of beautiful finishes from hand-applied mercury to gold leaf.
Indoor area rugs with beautifully neutral color palettes tie the room together. Wool and bamboo blends feel soft-to-the-touch in soothing grey and beige hues, while textural viscose ties in ivory, olives and golds in a palatable, sophisticated sense.
Switch on style with trend-forward lighting for any space. From shapely, arched pendants to refined floor lamps, simplified chandeliers and more, mixed materials like woven rattan, complementary woods, satin brass and LED lighting spark a modern look with a high-end feel sure to brighten the room.
Add a fun and fashion-forward pop of metal to the mix. Glam to eclectic, geometric to soft, these smart accent pieces are made from cast aluminum and forged iron, stone, marble and mirror. Mix and match vintage-inspired occasional tables and bar carts for flirty, flexible functionality that's geared for great entertaining.
Natural beauty. Authentic brindle cowhides in natural hues bring warmth and texture to any space. A variance in color, shape and pattern is to be expected, and speaks to the one-of-a-kind nature of these uniquely exotic area rugs and throw pillows. Chromium-free processing ensures eco-friendly tanning without the use of dyes, while leaving hides with a desirable crème-colored underside. Hides shown online are examples. Each hide will reflect its own unique character in a range of exotic patterns and hues, from light to dark brown.
Tribal roots meet modern artistry. Drawing inspiration from the traditional wedding trunks of South-Central Asia, classic techniques such as mortise and tenon joinery reveal a strong, primitive spirit. Intricate hand carving of geometric patterns elevates sculptural shaping to fresh artisan heights. Reclaimed woods retain their deep, totem tone and natural distressing for an air of authenticity and a culture-rich vibe.
Traditional detailing is made new again with a mix of materials used in fresh ways. Pops of polished white marble lend a light, airy feel to mango and acacia woods that have been wire-brushed to bring out a unique, weathered patina.
Slim, simply-styled accessories to perfectly punctuate any space. Satin black finishes and metallic hues bring clean contrast to modern-minded accent pieces.
Authentic Dhurrie rugs are hand-loomed of cotton, wool and leather, bringing a global, texture-rich look to any space. Each eye-catching pattern is hand-woven directly into fabric, steering each design into skilled artisan territory. Versatile neutrals offer the ability to mix and match with a wide range of modern styles.
Reclaimed fossilized oak is given new life and a modern look. Handcarved, polished and accented with metal detailing for a subtle mix of warmth, texture and contrast.
Art and functionality come together in the form of evocative, upcycled furnishings. Tabletops and flat surfaces feature one-of-a-kind antiqued metal patinas. Refurbished steel, cast iron, cogs and footings from old factories or warehouses connect the feeling of each piece back to the original use and origin of the materials.
Let there be light. Soft and sustainable, ceramic-based lighting styles mix metals, linens and woods to beautifully complementary effect. Hand-painted glazes take tabletop lamps to the next level, while nature-driven accents like sea grass, palm leaves and agave fibers incorporate texture in novel ways.
Modern-minded lighting with an accent on fine materials sparks style in any room. Slim-profile floor lamps and stately chandeliers combine ornamentation like top-grain leather and wood detailing with a minimalistic aesthetic for brilliant visual impact.
Impeccably designed and thoughtfully functional lighting recalls the look of a 60s-era sound stage or photo studio. Scale and detailing offer a tailored sense of glamour, and a slightly masculine appeal. From table to floor lamps and pendants, these lamps mix aluminum, brass, steel and wood to retro-modern effect.
Ombre finishes transform industrial materials. Concrete takes on alluring shapes - rounded, polished, and painted in faded jewel tones. Small-scaled accent and occasional pieces make a modern statement indoors or in protected outdoor spaces.
An eclectic inventory of found objects, reinvented. Unexpected pairings teeter on the edge of rule-breaking, then find balance in traditional forms, clever details and sophisticated materials. Designed with an antique dealer's trained eye then re-edited to mix into the modern day home, each piece looks as if it could have been inherited, bringing an artful, curatorial style to life.
